KDMC Retirees

The Retirees and Friends of KDMC will have a Christmas dinner at noon at Ashland’s First Methoditst Church (Chocolate Church). Bring a dish or a snack. It is optional to bring food for the food bank or gently used clothing or toiletries for Safe Harbor.

Brunch with Santa

The Wyngate at RiversEdge will host a Brunch with Santa from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the senior living community. Photos with Santa will take place, as well as story reading from Mrs. Claus. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Dayton Malleable Retirees

The Dayton Malleable Retirees will have a Christmas luncheon at noon at Golden Corral in Russell, Kentucky. For more information, call Bill at 740-532-1504.

Pet Vaccines

The Ironton Health Department will have pet vaccinations from 1-5 p.m. at the South Point Tractor Supply. Canine package includes rabies vaccine, Da2PPV and one dose of Effitix Plus. The feline package includes FVRCP, Rabies vaccine, and one dose of Effipro Plus. Packages $25, cash or check only. Animals will get a brief exam by attending veternarian.

Christmas Extravaganza

The third annual Christmas Extravaganza, hosted by People for the Point and South Point Schools will take place from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at South Point High School. Pancakes with Santa, a craft show and children’s activities are planned. Tickets will be pre-sold for $5 each, or will cost $6 on the day of the event or $5 and a can of non-perishable food. Children 4 and under can eat for free.

Story Time with Cookies and Santa

Community of Christ Church, located at 308 N. Ellison St., Ironton, is hosting story time with cookies and Santa Claus from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Activities include making magic reindeer food and decorating sugar cookies. All are welcome.

VFW 6878 Breakfast

VFW Post 6878 Proctorville will have a breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for kids, 10 and under.

Friends of Ironton 5K

The Friends of Ironton will have the Ironton Santa Run at 9 a.m. starting at the Ro-Na Theatre. Runners can pre-register at tristateracer.com or register at 8 a.m. the day of the race.

Breakfast with Santa

The Friends of Ironton will have breakfast with Santa from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. It is $5 per person. The meal includes pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. Mrs. Claus, Disney characters and the Ironton High School majorettes will be there. All proceeds go toward the renovation of the Ro-Na.

Craft and Vendor Bazaar

The Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a craft and vendor fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Andis Community Center. There will be multiple craft and vendor tables, as well as kids activities, including face painting, a craft table and pictures with Santa. There will also be a Henry Goldenboy Rifle raffle with tickets for $5 or five for $20. All proceeds from the vendor fair go toward the LTFD Ladies Auxiliary and rifle raffle proceeds go toward the fire department.

IHS Christmas By Candlelight

The Ironton High School’s annual Christmas By Candlelight will be at 2 p.m. The concert is presented by the Varsity Singers and will take place in the auditorium. There will be no charge for admission.

Fairland BOE

Fairland Board of Education will have its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the high school.

South Point BOE

The South Point Board of Education will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. in the board office.
