ROME TOWNSHIP — Families were welcomed into The Wyngate at RiversEdge for a Christmas-themed community event.
The senior living community hosted a brunch with Santa, offering a free morning meal to the public and entertainment for children.
“We had a candy table for the kids set up,” Julie Poff, activities director for The Wyngate, said. “And we had storytime we Mrs. Claus.”
Following the meal, children were able to get their photos taken with the Christmas couple.
The Wyngate is an assisted and independent living community for seniors, and has more than 50 residents. It is located across the street from the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
The event is one of many the Wyngate hosts for the community and the facility typically hosts one each month, free and open to the public.
