Robert Wade

Aug. 23, 1930 — Dec. 22, 2017

Robert L. Wade, 87, of South Point, went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Heartland of Jackson in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 23, 1930, in Scottown, a son of the late Harley Wade and Elizabeth Wall Wade.  He is also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Bennett Wade, and a brother, Richard Wade.
Robert retired from Ashland Oil as a Maintenance Supervisor.  He was a 33rd Degree Mason with The Valley of Cincinnati, Ohio Valley Lodge #536, F & AM in Crown City, past president of Lawrence County Scottish Rite and a member of the Perkins Ridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by his three children, Allen Wade, of South Point, Debra Thompson, of South Point, and Mark (Karen) Wade, of Kitts Hill; a brother, Gerald (Joann) Wade, of Bremen; a sister-in-law, Doris Wade, of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Lori Wade and Chyanne Thompson; two step-grandchildren, Zack Sloan and Tyler Kerns; and three great grandchildren, Tyffani, Trenity and Danica Thompson.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with pastor Lennie Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow at Perkins Ridge Cemetery in Scottown.  Friends may visit from noon-2 p.m. on Sunday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Heartland of Jackson for their kindness and care.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com

Judy Parsons

Judy Hamilton Parsons, 77, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017. Her family was by her side as she went to be with the Lord.
She was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Jenkins, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ivan and Edna Hamilton.
She attended High School in Catlettsburg, Kentucky. She worked at Banc Ohio in Ironton for many years and was also the owner of Class and Sass Dress Shop in Ironton. On June 6, 1959, she married the love of her life, Ronald Willis Parsons. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a great example to all family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Willis Parsons; and a sister, Connie Hamilton Chinn.
Judy is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Steve) Gipson; son, David (Jenny) Parsons; son, Johnny (Janine) Parsons; daughter, Angela (Dave) Mercedes; grandson, Blake (Kristen) Gipson; granddaughter, Miranda Gipson; grandsons, Kyle Parsons, Luke Parsons, Benjamin Parsons and Joshua Mercedes; granddaughter, Allie Mercedes; grandson, Chris Mercedes; a sister, Janice Brown; and many nieces and nephews as well as her husband’s family. Her family is going to miss her beautiful smile and laughter, her fun and giving character, her dancing, and her heart of gold.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home in Ironton. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.

Ruth Malone

May 4, 1927- Dec. 20, 2017

Ruth White Malone, 90, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
The Waterloo, native was born May 4, 1927, a daughter to the late Labe and Virgie Miller White. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ruelie Malone, whom she married October 27, 1944, and he passed away in 1998.
She attended Waterloo and Pedro schools and was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Waterloo Palestine Church and member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ken Malone; a daughter,  Brenda Hanshaw; a son-in-law, Bill Jett; six sisters, Bessie Brammer, Ruby Burd, Mary Coffman, Beulah Lacy, Joan Turvey and Thelma Coffman; two brothers, Celces White and Clyde White and two great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Jett, of Arizona, and Joyce (Gene) Payne, of Waterloo; two sons, Jerry Malone, of Batavia, and Rick Malone of Moscow; daughter-in-law, Jeniffer Petric, of Harrisburg, North Carolina;  11 grandchildren, Angela Nelson, Stephanie Doll, Christy Richards, Malissa Stewart, Kandus Holschuh, Stacey Malone, Allyssa Hootnel, Mark Holschuh, Tony Holschuh, Gene Payne and Doug Malone; and many, many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with pastor Matt O’Bryant and Mark Holderby officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Community Hospice Care Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101.

Claudia Lehn

April 25, 1942 — Dec. 21, 2017

Claudia Lehn, 75, of South Point, died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at her home.
She was born April 25, 1942, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Arnold Elmo Blankenship and Edith Mae Sparks Blankenship.  Claudia worked as a Registered Nurse for many years and enjoyed playing the piano and singing at her Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Lehn; her three children, Teresa Lehn, of Chesapeake, Stephen Mark Lehn, of Kitts Hill, and Jonathan Eric Lehn, of Charleston, South Carolina; one sister, Karen Johnson, of Chickamauga, Georgia; four grandchildren, Stephanie Kendrick, Derrik Conley, Blake Conley and Cole Lehn; three great-grandchildren, Miles Kendrick, Emma Conley and Grace Conley; two step-grandchildren, Madalyn and Chelsea; and one step-great-grandchild, Rowan.

Mary Lou Haye

Mary Lou Haye, 85, of Proctorville, died Thursday Dec. 21, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Russell Haye.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by Pastor Anthony Thomas. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville,.
