Richard Stewart

Oct. 20, 1938 — Jan. 23, 2018

Richard Holton Stewart, 79, of South Point, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. The Maysville, Kentucky native was born Oct. 20, 1938, a son of the late Harold and Audrey Merle Creech Stewart.
He is survived by his wife, Carmeleeta Wells Stewart.
Mr. Stewart was a 1956 graduate of Ironton High School and attended Ohio University. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a former yield supervisor for Ashland Oil, retiring in 1994 after 29 years of service. He was a member of the Sheridan Freewill Baptist Church in South Point and played drums while in high school and for the church. He enjoyed playing with the grandkids and great-grandkids, and liked trading knives and tools with his friends at the Hillbilly Flea Market. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Stewart; and a sister, Georgeann Nickols.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kent (Becky) Stewart, of Ironton; two grandchildren, Laura (Andrew) Keffer and Audrey Stewart, all of Ironton; a brother, James (Vicki) Stewart, of Albany; and two great-grandchildren, Joseph Keffer and Margaret Keffer.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Randy Patrick and the Rev. Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens and visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Frank Williams

Frank E. “Hank” Williams, 84, of Ironton, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church, Ironton. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
