Lady Pointers go cold in loss at Russell

FLATWOODS, Ky. — The South Point Lady Pointers’ offense went cold in the second half in a 67-29 loss to the Russell Lady Red Devils on Saturday.

South Point was down 14-8 after the first quarter and 30-20 at the half only to score just nine points in the second half.

Emilee Whitt had 12 points and Madison Kearns scored eight to lead the Lady Pointes (9-9).

Lakie Sanders scored 19 points, Rachel Michael 18 and Ty Mitchell 11 to pace Russell (17-6).

South Point visits Rock Hill on Monday.
