Retha Kerns
Feb. 11, 1940 — Feb. 2, 2018
Retha Faye Kerns, 77, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Pedro/Decatur native was born Feb. 11, 1940, a daughter of the late Arthur and Garnet Evans McFann.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill Kerns, whom she married Feb. 24, 1960.
Mrs. Kerns attended Decatur High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Elm Street Nazarene Church in Ironton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin McFann; five sisters, Janie (Paul) Sharp, Lola Nelson, Marcella (Frank) Vittorio, Judy (Frank) Neal and Carlene Klaiber; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Haas.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Larry) Robinson and Deana (Shawn Rosebrough) Kerns, all of Ironton; four grandchildren, Brandon Kellogg, Bill Kellogg, Robert Pemberton and Tre Rosebrough (Mawmaw’s Angel); five great-grandchildren, Billy, Brynna, Ryan, and Marleigh Kellogg and Brooklyn Meyer; her brothers and sisters, Harlen (Sherri) McFann, Irene (Harold) Yates, Cassie Haas, Debbie (Larry) Barnard and Darrell (Vivian) McFann; a sister-in-law, Barb McFann; a special friend, Wayne Kellogg; and lots of nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Vernon Furnace Cemetery with pastor Ronnie Blagg officiating. There will be no public visitation and the funeral procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Wilma Stafford
Wilma Jean Cade Stafford, 76, of Ironton, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, in Portsmouth. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mavis Hall Cade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her wonderful husband, William “Wendall” Stafford; and a brother, Bill Cade.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Ronald) Gillette-Shaw, of Denton, Texas, Kimberly Stafford, of Kimball, Michigan, and William “Billy” Stafford, Jr., of Ironton; her grandchildren, Jeremy Gillette, Jeffrey Gillette, Joshua Gillette, Nichole Gouin and Adam Turner; her great-grandchildren, Lily Blackwell Preston, Julia Gouin, Kielee Monzo, Kamry Monzo, Acelynn Turner, Jacob Gillette, Jeremy Gillette, Jr., Faithann Gillette, Timothy Millison and Austin Tyler Lowrie; her wonderful sisters and brother, Denver (Judy) Cade, Barbara Bailey, Linda (Eugene) Hughes, Judy Gail Cade and Cindy (Mark) Stamper; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell Chapel, Ironton, with the Revs. Bob Bradley and Kenny Klaiber officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Edna Lee Hatten, 86, of Proctorville, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at home.
