Dawson-Bryant High School co-hosted, along with Rock Hill High School and Chesapeake High School, a college admissions and ACT preparation seminar on Thursday.
The event took place in the Bowman Auditorium at Ohio University Southern’s main campus in Ironton.
Students learned what colleges look for, as well as how they need to present themselves in their college applications.
They also received advice on specific testing and time management strategies to help them score their highest on the ACT.
It was all geared toward increasing their chances for admission and scholarship aid to their colleges of choice.
The seminar was an all-day, school-day session, presented by College Sense, a company known for its subject matter experts in test preparation and college admissions.
