Jim Henington Sr.

Jim J. Henington Sr., 84, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, in Lincolnshire Place Dementia Unit in Decatur, Illinois, with his family by his side.
Jim was born May 8, 1933, in Proctorville, the son of Elmer E. and Erma A. (Edwards) Henington. He owned and operated Jim Henington’s Garage for 30 years. Jim enjoyed running his automotive repair business, racing and playing music on his steel guitar. He married Virginia Mae Stratton in 1950, and she preceded him in death in 1989. Jim then married Christine Spurlock, and she preceded him in death in 2010.
Jim is survived by his sons, Jimmy D. (Kathleen) Henington, of Decatur, Illinois, and Daniel L. (Dianne) Henington, of Clarksville, Tennessee; daughters, Glenda C. (Robert) Gullion, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Brenda S. (Columbus) Miles, of Decatur, Illinois, and Shawnda L. (Randy) Tague, of Decatur, Illinois; daughter-in-law, Lori Bowman; brother, Buddy L. (Judy) Henington; Nora B. Kinney and Deborah K. (Bob) Thomas; grandchildren, James Kasten, Jeff Lycan, Jeremy Lycan, Daniel Kacsir, Joseph Henington, Shelley Mempin, Michael Henington, Greg Gullion, Jesse Gullion, Matthew Gullion, Alyssa Cartee and Shelby Tague; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; sisters, Betty L. Evans, Mary A. Kennedy and Emily S. Wallace; and son, Phillip A. Henington.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff with the Lincolnshire Place and Evergreen for all of their compassionate care and support.
Services to celebrate Jim’s life will be 10 a.m. Friday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Leonard Holderby

Leonard Franklin Holderby, 62, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at home. He is survived by his wife, Kim Holderby.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Centenary Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Proctorville VFW Post 6878. Thomas Alexander Hudson, 81, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at Heritage Center, Huntington, West Virginia.
