Ohio-Kentucky All-Star
basketball game April 7
The annual Ohio vs. Kentucky boys and girls’ All-Star Basketball Game will be held Saturday, April 7, at Thomas More College in Northern Kentucky.
The girls game begins at 5:30 p.m. with the boys’ game at 7:30. Doors open at 4:30.
The annual Slam Jam Fest will be at 7 p.m. on Friday. The Slam Jam Fest is free and open to the public.

River Cities basketball
officials plan banquet
The River Cities Basketball Officials Association annual banquet for the 2017-2018 basketball season will be at 6 p.m.  Saturday at Fat Patty’s on 3rd Avenue in Huntington.
Featured speaker this year will be Pat Fragile with the WVSSAC. This year’s event will be of special significance with the induction of the organization’s inaugural class of the newly formed River Cities Basketball Officials Association Hall of Fame.
The group plans to induct an a class annually who are high school basketball officials in Ohio and West Virginia and serve and/or still currently active who the RCBOA (formerly known as the Western Board of Basketball Officials).
The inaugural class of inductees include Raymond Jordan, Larry Jordan, Claude Miller (deceased) and Bob Sparks.

Annual Robertson
softball tourney April 7
The Rocket Challenge” slow-pitch softball tournament will be held April 7th with a rain make up date of April 14th.
This men’s double elimination tournament is an open tournament. Entry fee is $150.00 and teams hit their own Classic M’s or Xrocks, meaning. 52 core 300lb compression or less.

SSU women’s basketball
golf scramble set May 12
Portsmouth — Shawnee State women’s basketball will host its golf scramble on Saturday, May 12.
This year’s scramble will be held at Elks Country Club in McDermott. Tee-off is set for 3 p.m. First prize for the winning team will be $500, and drawings for other gifts and prizes will be held at the conclusion of the tournament.
Teams of four are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Registrations for a four-player team is $260, or $65 per player. Shawnee State women’s basketball is also looking for individuals or local business interested in sponsoring holes for $100.
