Lady Vikings roll past Tartans

AID — This one was an easy one.
The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings combined 12 hits with 20 walks and nine errors to cruise past the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans 27-0 in five innings on Thursday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.
The Lady Vikings scored two in the first inning as Taylor Webb singled in a run.
Symmes Valley scored seven runs in the second inning to lead 9-0.
Sarah Kingery tripled in two runs, Webb doubled home two and Eric Ross belted a three-run double to highlight the uprising.
The Lady Vikings scored six runs in the third and used eight walks to score seven more in the fourth and it was 22-0.
Emily Estep singled home two runs to trigger a five-run fifth.
Kingery was 3-3 with a double and a triple, Webb was 2-2 with a double, Ross 2-3 with a double while Payton Hunter, Morgan Jenkins, Halie Littlejohn, Kaitlin Stevenson and Estep all had hits.
Kingery went the first three innings for the win. She struck out five and walked one. Kara Saunders finished and struck out one with no walks.
Symmes Valley hosts Beaver Eastern on Friday.
