Wayne Kelley

Nov. 5, 1940 — April 10, 2018

Wayne Franklin Kelley, 77, of Franklin, formerly of Coal Grove, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky.
Mr. Kelley was born in Ironton, Nov. 5, 1940, a son to the late William R. and Ruth (Dillon) Kelley. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara (Merk) Kelley, on Sept. 6, 1972, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 2002.
Mr. Kelley was a graduate of Coal Grove High School and was a lance corporal for the United States Marines, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War. He was a retired valve/fitting grinder from Duriorn, where he worked for 30-plus years. Mr. Kelley enjoyed fishing and loved watching Little League football and baseball. He was a member of AARP and the American Legion, was a fishing specialist and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William Lee, Donald Ray, Kenneth Eugene and Paul David Kelley; nephew, Terry Lee; and special longtime friend, Sylvia Sherman.
He is survived by three brothers, Carl Kelley, of Forest Dale, Ronald Kelley, of Deering, and Robert Kelley, of Columbus; 11 nieces; six nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Jim Beals officiating. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeralhome. A second service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Anderson Funeral Home, Franklin. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park, Hamilton, and visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of the service Monday at Anderson Funeral Home.

Mitchell Adkins

Mitchell Lee Adkins, 66, of South Point, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake, with Mark Adkins officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
