Blue Angels outscore Lady Tigers

The first meeting was a pitcher’s duel as Gallipolis won 5-3. The second meeting wasn’t even close.
The Gallipolis Blue Angels beat the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers again on Tuesday, but this time they won the Ohio Valley Conference game 18-12 in a game that featured 37 hits.
Ironton led 8-4 after two innings but Gallipolis scored six runs in the third inning to take the lead for good at 10-9.
The Blue Angels went up 18-9 after six innings before Ironton rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Demi Sands went 4-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in to lead Ironton’s 16-hit attack. Peghton Rowe was 3-3 and Riley Schreck continued her hot-hitting by going 3-6 with an rbi.
Kenzie Cremeens had a triple for an RBI and Haylee Stevens was 2-3 for Ironton.
Bailey Young went 5-5 with a double, a home run and four RBI to lead the Blue Angels who had 21 hits.
Ironton hosts Rock Hill on Wednesday.
