Two ordinances to be considered at tonight’s meeting

It might be a short meeting at tonight’s Ironton City Council with only two items on the agenda.

There is an ordinance to establish a street-paving fund that would only be used for street paving and no other purpose. It is an emergency measure, meaning that the council would waive second and third reading and vote to pass or not pass the ordinance.

The second ordinance is for the Gateway Centre development project. The ordinance would amend the zoning in the area. It had previously been tabled until the planning commission could hold a meeting to discuss the issue.

The Ironton City Council meets at 6 p.m. on the third floor of the Ironton City Center.
