A culvert replacement project will close State Route 218 in Lawrence County today.

The repair project will close State Route 218 between Polkadotte-Platform Road and Federal Creek Road, just west of the Gallia County line, so crews from the Ohio Department of  Transportation’s Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility can replace a deteriorated culvert.

The closure will be from 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via State Route 553 and State Route 7 in Gallia County to State Route 217 and State Route 218 in Lawrence County.
