Rock Hill team takes 8th at 2018 Envirothon

The 2018 Area 5 Envirothon was held at Liberty Park in Hillsboro on April 24.

Fifty teams from 17 counties in Southeast Ohio participated. Two Rock Hill High School teams participated in the event. One team placed eighth and the other placed 35th. Collins Career and Technical Center had one team participate and they placed 34th.

The top four teams received a plaque, individual gift cards for team members and $100 to participate in the State Envirothon in June.

The Envirothon is a competitive, outdoor academic team event, which tests students’ knowledge of soil and land use, forestry, wildlife and aquatics.

An adult advisor accompanied each team to the event, but was not permitted to assist the team during the competition.
