Sharon Thompson

Sept. 20, 1952 — May 5, 2018

Sharon Kay Thompson, 65, of Ironton, made her journey home on Saturday, May 5, 2018.
The Lima native was born Sept. 20, 1952, a daughter of the late Thelma Horner and the late Roger Thompson. She was a graduate of Green High School. Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Thompson; a sister, Debra Keller; and two brothers, Gary Thompson and Jeff Munion.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Kali Thompson and Brodee Howell; two brothers, Monte Thompson and George Munion; two nieces, Marissa Allen and Cheyenne Mace; and a nephew, Casey Mace.
Services will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Ironton with pastor Eric Barnes officiating. Graveside services will be at Haverhill Cemetery, Franklin Furnace.

 

Johnda Fryer

Feb. 22, 1977 — May 4, 2018

Johnda Fryer, 41, of Ironton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018. The Westwood native was born Feb. 22, 1977, a daughter of Ronald and Donna (Kirk) McFann, of Ironton.
Ms. Fryer attended Fairview Independent schools. She was of the Christian faith and loved her kids.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
In addition to her parents, Johnda is survived by two daughters, Laken Reynolds, of Ironton, and Lacey Fryer, of Ashland, Kentucky; a son, Hunter Fryer, of Ashland, Kentucky; two sisters, Katrina Smithers, of Ashland, Kentucky, and Melinda (Cam) Holbrook, of Bellefonte, Kentucky; a brother, Corey (Nikee) McFann, of Westwood, Kentucky; and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Dean Kuhn officiating.
