I attended a funeral, several days ago, of a dear friend’s father.

I felt compelled to write this note of thanks to all the people who took the time to pull over to the side of the road (from Proctorville to Ironton) to show their respect and sympathy to my friend’s father, family and friends.

You all know who you are and I needed to tell you — your actions did not go unnoticed.

P.S. A real special thank you to the Cogan’s Towing employee who stopped in the middle of the fast lane and stood by the truck with your hat over your heart.
