Jessie Alice Stone, 93, of South Point, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at SOMC Hospice, Portsmouth. Jessie was born July 24, 1924, in Huntington, West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Stone.
Jessie is survived by her two nieces and two nephews; and special friends, Bill and Susan Sparks, and Earl Koster.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will follow at Green Bottom Memorial Park Cemetery, Cabell County, West Virginia. Condolences may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.

 

Herbert Rose Jr.

Herbert H. Rose Jr., 71, of Deering, husband of Mary Rose, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Community Hospice Center. Celebration of Life Memorial will be 1-4 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ohio University Southern Activity Band or the First Presbyterian music program. O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home, Ironton, is in charge of arrangements.
