Many made Clean-Up Day a success

I would like to personally thank the following that assisted in making our City downtown area Clean-Up Day a huge success:
• Ironton Giovanni’s
• Melini’s
• Marco’s Pizza
• Pizza Hut
• Coal Grove Giovanni’s
• Bartrum & Son Grocery – bottled water
• Doug Waller – potato chips
• St. Joseph Catholic Schools Grades 5-10
This was an event spearheaded by the energy and enthusiasm of Mayor Katrina Keith, her entire staff and the workers of the City of Ironton. The event began with prayer from Randolph Edwards, followed by a brief message from Mayor Keith at 8:30 a.m. on May 4, 2018. The lobby of the Ironton City Center was the venue for the event with over 80 students from St. Joseph School in attendance. Each participant was accompanied by either a teacher or an adult supervisor as they went out to a designated area to begin their community service clean-up.
Two hours later, the above mentioned local restaurants provided over 25 pizzas for all participants’ dining pleasure. Father David Huffman delivered the blessing prior to the feast.
A great time was had by all those who participated in this event and the City of Ironton downtown area was the recipient of a clean-up just in time for the 150th Memorial Day Parade! Thank you!
Sincerely,
Kevin J. Waldo
Ironton Municipal Court judge
