A culvert replacement project on State Route 243 has been completed, and the route is now open to traffic in advance of the targeted June 8 completion.

Crews from ODOT’s Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility closed the route Monday, June 4, to replace a deteriorated culvert just south of County Road 36 (McKinney Creek Road) and midway between State Route 7 and State Route 378.

Although the project was anticipated to continue through the end of the work day Friday, June 8, the maintenance crews were able to expedite their efforts and reopen the route one day ahead of schedule.
