Program open to children ages 1-18, at no charge
School may be out for the summer, but there are still options available for children and families to get free food over the next few months.
The Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization has set up several locations for summer food, open to all ages under 18.
According to Jewell Hackworth, director of operations for the Ohio Means Jobs One Stop Center, no application or payment are necessary and children simply need to show up at the sites, which are located in proximity to low income residents.
