Tractor society hosts 20th show
Annual event has been held at Ironton Hills Plaza
For 20 years, the Lawrence County Antique Tractor Society has been sharing their interests with the public at their annual show.
“We have one every year, to show off all the antique tractors, Ralph Colegrove, who coordinated this year’s gathering, which took place at The Hills in Ironton on Saturday, said.
“We have people from 400 to 600 miles away who come,” he said. “The Grayson and Greenup tractor societies are here, and our local Lawrence County members.”
Visitors could view models of tractors, dating back through the 1930s, as well as several single stroke engines that were on display.
“We’re trying to get younger people interested in antique tractors, too,” he said.
He said he hopes the show, in its 12th year at its current location, generates interest in the field.
“The show is free and donation only,” Colegrove said. “Everybody’s welcome and were here to have a good time.”
