Paint, new mulch part of Proctorville park improvements
PROCTORVILLE — Members of two churches recently helped give Proctorville’s park a facelift.
Mayor Rick Dunfee said The Crossing Baptist Church, of Proctorville, along with members of Midway Heights Baptist Church, from Missouri, painted the playground equipment and benches and installed a new tire swing at the park, as well as put down mulch and cleared grass from the basketball courts and horseshoe pits.
The mulch was donated to the effort by Lowe’s and the new tire for the swing came from Proctorville Tire.
“We are proud to partner with The Crossing and the Mayor’s office to provide a safe, beautiful place for the children of Proctorville.” Midway Heights pastor Scott Hanson said.
Dunfee said the work was completed the last weekend of June.
