ROME TOWNSHIP — Pies, cakes, cookies and more were up for bids on Monday in the Sweet Tooth Auction at the Lawrence County Fair.

The event was organized and conducted by members of the Junior Fair Board and serves as their chief fundraiser for the year.

It is a chance for the community to show support for the group, with bids often going into the hundreds.

Organizers said this year’s event raised around $2,700 for the group.
