Marcia Fox
Oct. 30, 1941 — Aug. 7, 2018

Marcia M. Fox, age 76 of Westerville, passed away on Aug. 7, 2018.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1941 to the late Charlie and Lucille (Spratt) Merrill in Ironton. Marcia is survived by children, Andy (Lisa) Fox and Sarah (Al) Rahal; grandchildren, Ali and Sofia Rahal and Grace and Sam Fox; a sister, Nancy (Ken) Beiser; and many other loving family members and friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Russell C. Fox, Jr.
Marcia enjoyed her time as a student at Ohio University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She loved reading, poetry, and quilting. Prior to retirement, she had a fulfilling career at Benchmark Technologies, where she made many lasting relationships. Marcia treasured her family, friends and faith. Marcia’s philosophy of Carpe Diem included appreciating the simple moments in life.
Friends may call at Church of the Messiah, 51 N. State St., Westerville, on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 1:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2:30 p.m.

Walter Sisler
Aug. 12, 1945 — Aug. 9, 2018

Walter Sylvester Sisler, 72, of Ironton, passed away, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 at his residence.
The Lawrence County native was born Aug 12, 1945, a son of the late George W. and Leva D. Lewis Sisler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Boggs Sisler.
Mr. Sisler was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and retired from Ironton Iron. He was a Kentucky Colonel and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Eddie Sisler, and a granddaughter: Tiffany Cade.
He is survived by five daughters, Cynthia (Frank) Osburn, Amanda Sisler, Pauletta “Petta” Mullins, Janette Sisler, and Michele (Eric) Kidd, all of Ironton; two sons, Walter L. Sisler, of Ironton, and Beaner (Melissa) Sisler, of Ashland, Kentucky; two sisters, Charlotte (Huck) Pruitt and Jean Webb, both of Ironton; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at his residence, with Matthew Sisler officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens and visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the residence. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. 7th St., Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

“Donna Marie” Abel
Feb. 3, 1935 — Aug. 7, 2018

“Donna Marie” Abel, 83, of Lewis Center, passed away Aug. 7, 2018.
Donna was born Feb 3, 1935 to Theodore and Lillian (Brumfield) Abel. She was a very talented musician and was awarded a spot in The Columbus Senior Musicians Hall of Fame, Inc. Donna was an interior decorator from Chicago. She loved to travel all around to play music.
Donna will be deeply missed by Steve Tavenner, Pamela Boyd, all of her friends at Worthington Arms and all who listened to her music. Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ironton at a later date.

Dean Webb
Oct. 22, 1934 — Aug. 9, 2018

Leonard “Dean” Webb, 83, of South Point, passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
The Ironton native was born Oct. 22, 1934 a son of the late Halsey and Myrtle (Sexton) Webb. Dean was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jo (Williams) Webb, who passed away April 9, 2017.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. Sixth St., Ironton, with Pastor Roger Pierce officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Lois Kay Mullins Speck, 51, of Ironton, passed away Aug. 8, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
The Ironton native was born April 9, 1967, the daughter of Simeon Mullins and the late Geneva Aldridge Mullins.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Pine Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Jesse Sizemore officiating.
