Dragons gets golf tri-match victory

PINE GROVE — The key number seemed to be “41.”
The Fairland Dragons’ used a 41 by Hanna Shrout t win a tri-match plus one golf tournament on Monday.
Not to be outdone, the Coal Grove Hornets used a pair of 41s to finish as the runners-up.
However, Mihkail Auxier and Clayton Thomas shared medalist honors with a 39s as the Dragons had a 161 team score to win the match.
Coal Grove was next at 188 followed by the St. Joseph Flyers with a 235.
The Rock Hill Redmen did not have a team score as Kelsey Olderham shot a 65 and Cameron Donahue 70.
Fairland also got a 42 from Reece Belville and Mason Mann had a 45.
Jed Whitworth and Jake Sites both shot a 41 for the Hornets while Trevor Carey had a 52 and Brayden Dillow 54.
Ryan Payne led the Flyers as he carded a 52. Conner Waller shot a 58, Max Weber 59, Jacob Salisbury had a 66 and Noah Wood was a stroke back at 67.
