The Oak Ridge Boys have donated a basket of items to go up for bid in Harvest for the Hungry’s silent auction fundraiser, set for today.

According to Lois Turkhorn, an organizer with the food pantry, the band sent several CDs, one signed, along with other items for the auction.

Turkhorn said these items will be in addition to signed items from Bobby Bare, Cincinnati Reds tickets, Cincinnati Bengals items, and signed memorabilia from the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers.

“And we just got a beautiful oil painting from a local artist this week,” Turkhorn said.

The silent auction and dinner fundraiser will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, located at 2818 S. 4th St. in Ironton.

The event will also feature a musical performance by Sasha Colette. Tickets are available at First United Methodist Church and Unger Shoes. Tickets are $10 per person and $12 at the door.

During 2017, the Harvest served over 17,000 people locally, providing meals to those with low incomes.
