George Sanders

June 16, 1943 — Aug. 19, 2018

George E. Sanders, 75, of Kitts Hill, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton. He was born June 16, 1943, in Lawrence County, son of the late Robert and Florence Kuhne Sanders.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernita Joy Sanders; and brother, Jim Sanders.
George was a life member of the VFW Post 8850, Ironton, and loved to hunt turkey and deer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sheila Kay Nance, of Kitts Hill; three children, Nada Rae (Dale) Jenkins, of Kitts Hill, Kari “Cork” (Steven) Bradshaw, of Kitts Hill, and Georgie Sanders, of Kitts Hill; four sisters, Ethel Coffman, of Michigan,
Anita Scherer, of Kitts Hill, Ruby Sanders, of Ironton, and Gladys Ray, of Ironton; four brothers, Robert Sanders, of New Mexico, Tim Sanders, of Kitts Hill, Ernest Sanders, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Orville Sanders, of Ironton; two grandchildren, Chelsea (Jonny) Chinn and Whitney Bradshaw; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Chin, Grayson Chinn, Mikayla Chinn and Braelyn Chinn; and two special friends, Billy Akers and Lee Fetters.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with pastor Leon Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Ironton. John Mullins

Nov. 13, 1955 — Aug. 19, 2018

John Melton “Big John” Mullins, 62, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Community Hospice of Ashland, Kentucky.
The Scioto County native was born Nov. 13, 1955, a son of the late Harold and Louise Melton Mullins. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Schob Mullins.
John was a 1974 graduate of Wheelersburg High School and then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University. He was a pipefitter by trade and was a member of the Local 577 of Portsmouth.
He is preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Hamm.
He is survived by son, Joseph (Vicki) Mullins, of Auburn, Georgia; daughter, Elizabeth Mullins, of Auburn, Georgia; stepson, Keith (Haley) Hamm, of Pedro; two grandchildren, Easton and Melanie Hamm, of Pedro; brother, Harold (Jill) Mullins, of Waverly; and sister, Betsy (Alan) Fannin, of Wheelersburg.

Larry Belville

June 24, 1955 — 2018

Larry Gene Belville, 81, recently of Midland, Michigan, formerly of Ironton, passed away. He was born June 24, 1955, in Lawrence County to Dillard and Margaret Belville. Larry was the beloved husband of Janice and a 1955 graduate of Ironton High School. He retired from Dow Chemical.
He was the loving father and stepfather of Steve (Elizabeth) Belville, Christina Vrabel, Robbin (Jeff) Carson, Tracy (Malloy) Farley, Kelli (David Moore) Borden and the late Scott Belville; and the dear brother of Sara Ann Fisher and Dillard “Buddy” Belville. He is also survived by several nieces.
Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Molnar Funeral Homes Brownstown Chapel, Brownstown, Michigan. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan, and visitation will be noon until the time of the services Sunday.
