Lady Dragons fall to Falcons

LANCASTER — The Fairland Lady Dragons faced a tough challenge.
Fairland was facing one of Southeast Ohio’s better Division II teams and on the road and the Fairfield Union Lady Falcons lived up to their billing with a 4-1 soccer win on Saturday.
Tori Hall scored with an assist from Erinn Hayden at the 18-minute mark of the first half for Fairland’s goal.
The Falcons went up 2-0 on goals by Regan Conrad and Isabel Zuff, but Hall’s goal cut the deficit in half.
But Taylor Davis scored one minute later and it was 3-1 at the half.
The game was a defensive battle in the second half with Davis getting a goal at the 22-minute mark for the only score of the half.
