Nellie Davis Dillon

Nellie Davis Dillon, 86, of Willow Wood, was called home by God on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born Sept. 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Amos and Ester Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Paul A. “Matt” Dillon, who passed away July 24, 2008.
Mrs. Dillon was a graduate of Waterloo High School. She was a member of Linnville Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Francis Kitts, of Ironton; and a great-granddaughter, Ashton Grace Dillon.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Phil Murnahan, of Ironton; son and daughter-in-law, James and June Dillon, of Kitts Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Paul David and Peggy Dillon, of New Philadelphia; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Teresa Dillon, of Willow Wood; son, Stephen Dillon and Jennie White, of Willow Wood; 13 grandchildren, Brandi Murnahan Petrov, Mindy Murnahan Gay, Jami Dillon Kelley, James Dillon Jr., Eric Dillon, David Dillon, Allison Rae Dillon Lung, Maria Danielle Dillon Tredway, Heather Dillon Jackson, Linzy Dillon Depriest, Sarah Dillon, Stephen Dillon and Kristopher Kitts; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Darrell Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Dillon, James Dillon Jr., Eric Dillon, Kristopher Kitts, Justin Dillon and Brandon Depriest.
