PINE GROVE — The Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is like fresh butter on warm bread. You just spread it around.
The winners were spread around as five players won six events over the past two meetings of the golfing group at the Ironton Country Club.
Two weeks ago with Pat Lambert as the hostess, the group met for a brief business meeting and then hit the links with Dora Carmon, Lana Moore and Margaret Donley all picking up wins.
Last week, the ladies met for a meeting and Donley — serving as the hostess — announced the day’s events.
When golfing was complete and it was lunch time, Donley announced Joyce Lewis as a winner and Lambert the only multiple winner with two event titles.
Anyone interested in joining the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is welcome and women do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the group.
The group conducts a brief business meeting each Tuesday is at 9 a.m. and golfing follows at 9:30 or 10.
Pat Riggs will serve as next Tuesday’s hostess.
