CHESAPEAKE — That wasn’t very nice.
The St. Joseph Lady Flyers spoiled senior night for the Chesapeake Lady Panthers as they posted a 4-0 soccer win on Wednesday.
The Lady Flyers attacked the net with 21 shots on goal to just three for Chesapeake.
The game was scoreless until Chloe Sheridan scored with an assist from Emma Whaley at the 34-minute mark.
“The defense of Maddy Whaley, Faith Mahlmeister, Emilee Blankenship and Alex Holtzapfel played excellent this evening to help contain the Panthers to only three shots on goal,” said Lady Flyers’ coach Dan Blair.
St. Joseph scored seven minutes into the second half as Bella Whaley got the goal with an assist from cousin Emma Whaley to make it 2-0.
Emma Whaley then took over the scoring as she made a goal at the 22-minute mark with an assist from Laiken Unger.
Emma Whaley then scored on a dropped ball by the goal six minutes later to complete the scoring.
The physical game resulted in three yellow cards for the Lady Panthers.
