PINE GROVE — The square root of nine is three.
Just ask the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club. The ladies played nine holes of golf last week and had three winners.
Hostess Pat Lambert held a brief business meeting and then announced the day’s events.
The winning trio were Lana Moore, Margaret Donley and Lambert.
During lunch, Lambert presented the day’s awards to the winners.
Anyone interested in joining the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is welcome and women do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the group.
The group conducts a brief business meeting each Tuesday starting at 9:30 a.m. this week and golfing follows at 10.
The “End of the Year Awards” will be presented following this Tuesday’s outing that will be played, rain or shine.
Moore will serve as next Tuesday’s hostess.
