Rosanne Kirby

July 18, 1945 — Sept. 23, 2018

Rosanne Kirby, 73, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018. She was born to the late John Malinowski and Joyce Howell on July 18, 1945. A lifelong Lawrence County resident, she served as Briggs Lawrence County Public Library’s loan librarian for 32 years.
Survivors include her two children, George Kirbie, of Bowie, Maryland, and Zabrina Cockell-Black, of Fort Myers, Florida; her granddaughter, Brittnie Cockrell, of Fort Myers, Florida; and great-granddaughter, Ziriah Black, of Ironton; as well as her beloved pets, Mocha and Zeus.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Posard; and survived by her sisters, Johanne and Sally Anne; and her brother Charles (Butch) Howell, all of Cleveland; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
Rosanne requested private services at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton. Chester Wilson

April 12, 1935 — Sept. 21, 2018

Chester L. Wilson, 83, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born April 12, 1935, a son of the late Delbert and Phyllis Primm Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon McClellan Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a former employee for Allied Signal and a member of the Ellison Street Nazarene Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Wilson; and two brothers, Delbert “Red” Wilson and Clyde Wilson.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Scott Wilson, of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Priscilla Slone, of Milton, West Virginia, and Naomi Cheek, of Wheelersburg; a brother, Jack Wilson, of Alabama; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
