IRVING, TX – Marshall wide receiver Tyre Brady was named Conference USA’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week in an announcement made Monday by the league office.
Brady had eight catches for 162 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 20-17 win at Western Kentucky.
The touchdowns bookended the Thundering Herd’s scoring as quarterback Isaiah Green found him on a 40-yard bomb in the first quarter and again on a 32-yarder with 1:44 left in the contest.
Brady eclipsed 100 yards in receiving for the second time this season and the sixth time in his two-year career with the Herd.
He had his third career two-touchdown game, and the 162 receiving yards rank as the third-most in his career.
Marshall (3-1 overall, 1-0 C-USA) will be back in action Friday evening when Middle Tennessee (2-2, 1-0) visits for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff in a game that will be carried on CBS Sports Network.
The Thundering Herd leads the all-time series between the two schools with a 5-2 mark, including a 4-0 record in Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
