PEDRO — The defense was the difference.
The Rock Hill Redwomen used their defense to battle past the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings in a volleyball game on Monday.
Rock Hill won in five sets, 25-23, 25-12, 22-25, 23-25 and 15-13 in the tiebreaker.
“We played pretty good defense,” said Rock Hill coach Jerry Gregg. “Sammy Stamper, Katie Arthur, Autumn Porter and Shay Cox all played a pretty good match for us.”
Stamper had 13 kills and also had four straight aces in the second set.
Arthur had nine kills, two blocks and three aces. Porter racked up 11 kills with six aces and Cox accounted four five aces.
