SEAMAN — Sometimes when you play on the road, you leave your game on the road.
The St. Joseph Lady Flyers suffered the effects of traveling highways 52 to 73 to 32 as they lost 4-0 to the North Adams Lady Green Devils in a soccer game on Tuesday.
The speedy Lady Green Devils scored all four of their goals in the first half by Ainsley Grooms, Jordan Yoder, Sydney Figgins and Brianna Robinson.
“We started sluggish and it might have been the trip,” said Lady Flyers’ coach Dan Blair.
“Our defense picked up the pace in the second half but we were only able to get six shots on goal the whole game to 19 for the Green Devils.”
The Lady Flyers’ goalkeeper Kelsey Malone had nine saves. North Adams’ keeper had four saves.
The Lady Flyers host the Chesapeake Lady Panthers on Thursday. The game will be senior night as St. Joseph honors its five seniors: Grace Miller, Alex Holtzapfel, Isabella Griffiths, Maddy Whaley and Kelsey Malone.
