Charles Jarrett

Charles Jess Jarrett, 61, of Waterloo, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. The Ironton native was born June 18, 1957, a son of the late Charles E. and Bessie Butler Jarrett. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kimberly Skeens Jarrett.
Charles attended Symmes Valley High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a former employee of Briden Construction of Ashland, Kentucky, and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Jarrett.
In adition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Millissa (James) Hughes, of South Point, Sandy Jarrett, of Ashland, Kentucky, and April Jarrett, of Coal Grove; a son, Travis (Virginia) Jarrett, of Coal Grove; a brother, Mike (Cheryl) Jarrett, of Pedro; a sister, Sherry (Everett) Adkins, of Pedro; a stepson, William Caplinger, of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, Candace Caplinger and Jaelyn Caudill, both of Waterloo; 24 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Jeff Cremeans officiating Burial will follow in Slabfork Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post 8850.
