Kicking off the season

While the winter holiday season doesn’t really begin until Thursday with Thanksgiving, those who cannot wait for the Yuletide season to begin, there is something to do on Saturday.
At the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce headquarters and The Point industrial park in South Point, the Chamber is having its annual Festival of Trees until 9 p.m. tonight.
And for those looking for a more religious event, Jeremiah 38 Ministries and 15 local churches are putting on a massive “Drive-Thru Christmas: The Life of Christ” with over 200 volunteers playing out the life of Jesus Christ in 14 scenes.
So, make the trip to South Point. It’s a perfect time for the kids to meet see some reindeer.
And from 1-3 p.m., the kids can see a magic show, learn balloon art, and visit with St. Nick.
This is a great opportunity for families to make holiday memories right here in Lawrence County while supporting a great organization.
