Jo Ann Wilson

Jo Ann Wilson, 65, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Marion native was born Dec. 3, 1953, a daughter of the late Riley and Loretta Huffman Welch. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carroll “Buster” Wilson.
Jo Ann attended Marion High School and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eagles, the Moose. She loved her grandkids and loved to go to yard sales.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie Welch, Robert Welch and John Welch; two sisters, June Lute and Mary Lou Windle; and Johnny Dameron Jr., whom she raised like a son.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jessica (Jason) Wilson and Kelli Spillman, both of Ironton; three grandchildren, Holli Spillman, Ethan Spillman and T.J. Douglas; and special nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Kenny Waller officiating. Burial will follow in Hecla Cemetery and visitation will be noon until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Mary Ann Howard

April 3, 1924 — Dec. 3, 2018

Mary Ann Boggs Howard, 94, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky. The Greenup, Kentucky native was born April 3, 1924, the daughter of the late Orville and Crealo Allen Boggs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Forrest “Kenneth” Howard, who passed away in 1991.
Mary attended Greenup County schools and was a former bookkeeper for S.S. Kresge Company, where she retired from in 1989 after 40 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruby Hale, Dorothy Carter, Opel Webb, Monnie Bishop and Lucy Rase.
She is survived by two brothers-in-law, Larry Rase, of Ironton, and Harold Carter, of Winchester, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Cremeans officiating. Burial followed.
