Donations needed for Mission Christmas effort

The City Welfare Mission would like to thank everyone who contributed to this ministry to help brighten Thanksgiving Day for those in need.

With the help of our many friends, we were able to serve 662 meals this year. Many of those meals were delivered to the elderly and shut-ins, who may not otherwise have had a good meal that day.

This month, as in more than 60 years past, the Mission is providing food baskets and new toys to the needy. This year, we have over 400 families registered for food baskets and several hundred children for toys.

Like the Thanksgiving Day dinner, donations are needed to fill this large order. If anyone would like to donate non-perishable food, new toys or monetary gifts, you can bring or send it to City Welfare Mission 710 N. 5th St., Ironton, OH 45638.

If anyone needs more information, feel free to call the office at 740-532-5041.

We want to wish each and everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Your Mission worker,
Jeff Cremeans, Director, City Welfare Mission
