One injured in accident
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash on Sunday.
According to a report from the Ironton OSHP Post, around 7:15 p.m., around mile marker 5 on U.S. 52 near Ironton, a black Chevy Tahoe, driven by Brianna Craft, 20, of Portsmouth, was going east when the driver lost control of the SUV, which crossed the grassy divide and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Amelia Bailey, 36, of Ironton. The make of that vehicle was not available.
Bailey had to be extricated from her vehicle, make and model unknown, by a hydraulic Jaws of Life tool. She was transported to Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington for treatment.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and no alcohol or drugs are suspected in the collision.
The case remains under investigation.
