DUBLIN, OH — The Fairland Dragons didn’t find any luck on their trip to Dublin.
After losing to the Jerome Celtics on Friday, the Dragons fell to the Coffman Shamrocks 73-50 on Saturday in the Dublin Jerome Shootout.
Fairland (5-3) was led by Aiden Porter with 20 points including four trifectas. Gavin Hunt came off the bench for 10 points in the fourth quarter.
The Dragons were hurt by 16 turnovers and managed only nine points in each of the second and third quarters.
The Shamrock (7-0) hit 13-of-33 shots from behind the arc for the game. Luke Bartemes hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points while Will Hunter scored 15 and Dominiq Penn added 11.
Bartemes made four 3-pointers in the first quarter as Jerome took a 23-17 lead. Porter hit three triples and had 11 points to keep the Dragons close.
The Shamrocks outscored the Dragons 12-9 in the second quarter and it was 35-26 at the half.
But Grant Yeater had a pair of treys, Keaton Turner hit another and Hunter scored six points as Jerome outscored the Dragons 21-9 and opened up a 56-35 lead.
The Dragons visit South Point on Friday.
