Lady Pointers bounce back to roll by New Boston, 53-30

SOUTH POINT — The South Point Lady Pointers didn’t just bounce back, they did some bouncing.
After a tough 3-point loss on Thursday, the Lady Pointers rebounded by bouncing the New Boston Lady Tigers 53-30 on Saturday.
Ashley Perkey had 13 points and 12 rebounds, Emilee Carey 13 points and three assists and Emilee Whitt had a strong all-around game with 10 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals as South Point improved to 9-2.
Whitt and Carey each hit a pair of 3-pointers as South Point jumped out to an 18-4 lead in the first quarter.
Carey scored four points and Jaden Howard came off the bench to get four points as the Lady Pointers extended the lead to 31-12 at the break.
Easter had six points in the quarter for New Boston.
The Lady Pointers opened up an insurmountable 49-22 lead after three quarters.
Perkey had six points, Maddy Khounlavong scored four points while Diamond Crawley and Carey each hit 3-pointers.
The Lady Pointers play at Fairland on Monday.
