Bad 2nd quarter too costly for Redwomen

PEDRO — There always seems to be that one bad quarter for the Rock Hill Redwomen.
In the last game, Rock Hill led until the fourth. This time the second as the Greenup County Lady Musketeers outscored the Redwomen 19-6 and went on to post a 55-45 win on Saturday.
Savannah Cade had a career-high 19 points including three 3-pointers to lead the Redwomen (2-11). Makayla Scott had 10 points and Rileigh Morris added eight.
Greenup County (4-15) was led by Maggie Miller with 23 points. Lexi Carroll and Lauren Hannah scored 12 each.
Cade hit a 3-pointer and scored nine points in the first quarter as Rock Hill took a 15-12 lead.
Miller scored seven points for Greenup.
In the second quarter, Greenup stormed back to take a 31-21 halftime lead as Miller got six points Carroll five and Hannah five points.
Kenzie Hanshaw had four points in the quarter for Rock Hill.
Cade had another trey and scored seven points while Morris added four points in the third quarter and Rock Hill cut the deficit to just 40-36.
Morris had four more points and Makayla Scott got three points in the fourth quarter, but Greenup outscored Rock Hill 15-9 as Carroll had seven points including a 3-pointer and Miller added six points.
Rock Hill visits Chesapeake on Monday.
