HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Makhtar Gueye recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds as UAB beat Marshall 77-68 on Thursday night. Lewis Sullivan added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Blazers.
Zack Bryant had 14 points and six assists for UAB (15-11, 7-6 Conference USA), which ended its four-game losing streak. Jalen Perry added 10 points.
Jon Elmore had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Thundering Herd (13-13, 6-7), whose losing streak stretched to four games. Taevion Kinsey added 11 points. C.J. Burks had 10 points.
UAB finishes out the regular season against Western Kentucky on the road on Saturday. Marshall finishes out the regular season against Middle Tennessee at home on Saturday.
