On Monday at 4:24 p.m., there was a collision on State Route 141 and Woodland Drive in Ironton.
“Basically, what happened is there was a van sitting at the stop sign on Woodland Drive. The driver of the van said there was a car coming north on State Route 141 and it had its blinker on, like it was going to turn,” said Ironton Police detective Captain Joe Ross.
He added the van pulled out into the intersection and the vehicles collided and impacted the van by the driver’s door.
The driver of the van, Craig Stamper, of Ironton, and the driver of the car, Cheryl McNeal, of Pedro, sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. An unnamed passenger in the car was taken to the nearby St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment.
Statements were taken from those involved and Stamper was cited for failure to yield at an intersection.
