Amy Morgan
April 15, 1975 – March 24, 2019

Amy Lynn Morgan, 43, of Coal Grove, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. The Lawrence County native was born April 15, 1975, the daughter of Jimmy and Brenda Kelley Morgan.
Amy was a 1993 graduate of Ironton High School, where she was a member of the Million Dollar Marching Band. She was the property manager for Buckeye Management Lawrence Commons and also enjoyed scrap booking in her free time. She is of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by aunt, Rita Ferguson of Ironton; two cousins, Jeff Ferguson and Scott Morgan, both of Ironton; and a host of close family and friends.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Walter and Zelma Kelley; paternal grandparents, Dale and Mae Morgan; and an uncle, Larry Morgan.
Graveside Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodland Cemetery with Rev. Jim Beals officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6–8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton.

Nellie Fields

Nellie Frances (Wallace) Fields, 88, of Ironton died Saturday, March 23, 2019. She was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Milton, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Dewey and Fannie (Lykins) Wallace.
She leaves her son, John and Marjorie Fields; her sister Deloris Perry; her close niece, Barbara Ann and Leon Ramey; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was one of three brothers and five sisters; Kensey Wallace, Lola Woodard, Elsie Virginia Davis, Thelma Stephenson, Violet Chandler, Peter Wallace, Billy Joe Wallace and Deloris Perry.
In her early years, she helped on the family farm. After high school, she worked in Huntington, West Virginia. She met her husband Max Fields (deceased) and was married in the 1950s. She had two daughters, Brenda Chinn (deceased) and Sheila Fields (deceased); and two sons, Danny Fields (deceased) and John Fields.
Ms. Fields retired from Aristech Chemical Co.
Over many years, she came to know many friends, enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, hunting vacation trips with family and close friends, Glenn and Loretta Markins. Those infamous trips are still talked about today. She will be sadly missed.
A funeral will be noon Thursday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with Billy Markins officiating.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Thursday time of the funeral. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point.

Thomas Hodge

Thomas Richard Hodge, 88, of Ashland, Kentucky, died on Friday, March 22, 2019, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Barker Hodge.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Herbert Rice

Herbert Lee Rice, 63, of Chesapeake, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

James Lee White, 66, of Lesage, West Virginia passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at UK Medical Center in Lexington. Kentucky.
As per his request there will be no services held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
