Margie Burgess
Dec. 24, 1941 – April 3, 2019

Margie Lou Burgess, 77, of Proctorville, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point.
She was born Dec. 24, 1941, in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late Homer and Lucille Cox.
Her life was dedicated to her family, serving as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard Burgess; three sons, Barry (Rena) Burgess, of Huntington, Bruce (Karen) Burgess, of Culloden, West Virginia, and Brad (Heather) Burgess, of Lynchburg, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Blake (Raquel) Burgess, Lindsey (Jake) Wellman, Brooke Burgess, Allisun Whetsel, Allison Burgess, Brogan Burgess and Reagan Burgess; 10 great grandchildren; and a special family friend, Anna Steele.
Private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Developmental Therapy Center 803 Seventh Ave., Huntington, WV 25701.
The family would like to express a special thank you to all the staff at Heartland of Riverview.

Kenneth Miller
Sept. 21, 1937 – April 2, 2019

Kenneth Lee Miller, of Aid, passed away on April 2, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born in Waterloo, on Sept. 21, 1937, to the late Dalton and Bessie (Evans) Miller and was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Alma (Callicoat) Miller and son, Brent (Patty) Miller of Corbin, Kentucky.
He also leaves behind six grandchildren, whom he cherished, Courtney Miller, Calley (Ty) Proffitt, Brennan Miller, Bailey Miller, Braden Miller and Ian Miller; in addition to his great-grandchildren, Winter Bess Proffitt and Tyson Lee Proffitt.
Kenny is also survived by his brother, Wayne Miller; sister, Neomia White; niece, Sheila (Shane) Meadows; and nephew, Anthony White.
Kenny was a Mason and member of the Waterloo Lodge #532. His passion was coaching and working with the Little League Baseball teams of Aid Township and supporting the Symmes Valley baseball, basketball and softball teams.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Symmes Valley Baseball and Softball teams in Kenny’s honor.

A graveside service, officiated by former player Wayne Taylor, will be held at noon Saturday at Aid Cemetery for friends and family to honor Kenny. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Rhonda Lucas
Rhonda Thompson Lucas, 57, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at UK Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky.
Funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by Pastor Randy Thompson.
Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Willard Blankenship
Willard Thomas Blankenship, 66, of Ironton, died April 3, 2019, at Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Roena Blankenship.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Vernon Furnace Cemetery, with the Rev. Dixon and the Rev. Kenny Jiles officiating.
Memorial donations should be directed to his wife or the Hospice Care Center.

Jimmie Aldridge
Jimmie Ray Aldridge, 66, of Ironton, died Monday April 1, 2019, at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Aldridge, of Ironton.
Keeping with the families wishes, Jimmie will be cremated. Memorial donations should be made to you favorite veterans charitable organization.
