PINE GROVE — Golf is usually played as a twosome or a foursome.
It seems that’s also how the winners go for the Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club.
Two weeks ago, hostess Shirley Gleim set up the day’s events and there were only two winners: Pat Lambert and Joyce Lewis.
Last week, Becky Dillow took over as the weekly hostess and announced the day’s events and then the winners during the post-competition lunch.
This time there were four winners as Lana Moore, Sharon Fox, Margaret Donley and Dillow all came away with event victories.
Next week’s hostess will e Pat Lambert.
During the month of May, the group will have a brief business meeting at 9 a.m. followed by golfing events at 9:30.
The club meets each Tuesday.
New members are always welcomed and persons do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the Ladies Nine Hole League.
